Description
The image shows a young woman sitting on a chair and looking to her left while a man shows her a coin and puts his hand on her shoulder. Next to the couple and sitting on a chair appears an old woman with her head covered sleeping. By the title of the painting it is understood that the old woman acts as a procuress for the young woman and the man as her client.
