]]>Description by the author for the online exhibition held in 2012 in the Spanish gallery Plastiké Art Gallery, where the drawing was exhibited:
"The painting represents a brothel where a variety of characters meet, drawn by business or pleasure. The presence and the mood of this work brings it in a rare eynergy with the traditional interior compositions of Dutch Baroque painting. Dutch interiors are domestic scenes where there is usually a relaxed and festive atmosphere full of sensuality (Jean Steen, Franz Hals, etc.). Joan Miró also used the Duth interior as a formula loaded with humor and irony to name one of his most celebrated works."
