Description
The image represents the biblical scene of the Philistines taking Samson in Delila's house. Both characters appear naked only covered by a robe. Notice the maid that appears on the left near Delilah. The maid resembles the procuress in Caravaggio's Judith Beheading Holofernes (1598, c.)
