Description

Two handmade dolls, 2011, inspired by the characters of Calisto and Melibea and Tim Burton's movie Nightmare before Christmas (1993)

The creator describes her dolls:

Today I'm not going to show my dolls, but I'm going to show you what my daughter did for her class  of arts and crafts . She was doing 1st grade and is very good at drawing. She had to do something inspired by Celestina. And this is the result, for me it's great, because it's the first time she works with modeling paste. She is really passionate. She likes the characters in Tim Burton's films "A Nightmare before Christmas "," The Corpse Bride "... And it has been inspired by their aesthetic to create these two dolls.

The other two dolls, Celestina and Melibea, were made in 2016 to be displayed in the exhibit "500 Years of Celestina's Visual Cullture,", 1-3 Junio 2016, University of Calgary, 52 Conferencia de la Asociación de Hispanistas Canadienses (see announcing poster at http://celestinavisual.org/storage/celestinaexhibit.pdf )
